Great Point Partners I (GPP I) is a private equity fund with a ten year life. The fund makes growth equity investments of $10 to $35 million. We make our private equity investments from funds managing approximately $500 million in capital. While most of the companies we invest in are growing and profitable, our investments in biotechnology and life sciences companies may occur before the companies have any earnings.
GPP I invests in a broad range of health care segments including biotechnology and life sciences, consumer health, generic drugs, health care services, information technology, insurance, medical devices, specialty pharmaceuticals, and workers compensation.
We use our own equity to provide shareholder liquidity in private companies, complete growth recapitalizations, fund growth capital, close fold-in acquisitions, lead management buy-outs, and finance corporate spin-offs.
